Back again after losing 35 pounds. I am still over 200 and want to lose 25 more pounds.
But it's harder at my age (joints especially) and I am on and off Prednisone which slows me down.
I remain positive and hope to travel again in the Fall (maybe Iceland?).
Welcome new friends and I do check in daily. Best wishes!

Hello MaryRose, I have been off and on here more times than I care to count. Like yo9u I am over 65 and have arthritis ad bursitis everywhere so I get Cortisone needles in the hips, while the knees and hips are good I am ok, but then all the good work comes undone when the needle wears off, I am needing some motivation and someone who knows that its not always possible to walk or exercise, and maybe with some encouragement I can start again get going and feel happier0

Hi, Maryrose, welcome back!
I'm 66, hanging around here these days working at maintaining a reasonable weight at age 66, after losing at age 59-60.
There's a thread here with other 60+ folks that's still active, if you want to try to connect with others our age, at various stages. Direct link here:
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10718336/60-yrs-and-up#latest
If you open it up and see old posts, don't be discouraged: Like any longtime thread, all the new posts are at the end, on the high numbered pages. You'll see some recent posts there.
Wishing you success on this round of your MFP use - betting you can knock off that last 25!

Hi, ladies. I’ll join you in the 60’s in a couple weeks, but all my loss has been post menopause, in the last three or four years. It’s doable.
The saying around these parts is “weight loss is made in the kitchen”.
Exercise is great for your body, and the extra calories give you a small buy-back of extra food, but it boils down to what you’re putting in your mouth.
It’s all down to weighing your food accurately and logging honestly.1
