Eat the fruit - its good food but definitely count the calories.
In my humble opinion - don't worry too much about the sugar content in the fruit.
Some fruit are better for you than others but generally speaking, as a category - they're excellent.
Its added sugar, corn syrup and fruit juice potentially in the rest of your diet that you need to be concerned about.
kind regards,

do not worry about the sugar if your food was fruit.
It is the sugars in other foods that you would be concerned with.
Fruit is good for you and me!
It has fiber which will keep you full, fruit sugar for energy and it tastes refreshing on a hot day and will provide you with water from that fruit,
and if you get some very fresh fruit from the farmers markets in Michigan and some other farmers markets, the smell of fresh peaches is THE best scent ever.0 -
^ I agree with everyone above. Just eat the fruit and cut down sugar intakes from other foods0

Eating more calories than you burn is the ONLY way you will prevent weight loss. It doesn't matter if your sugar is from fruit or ice cream or candy. Sugar is a carb, carb's have calories. If Calories in < calories out, then fat loss will occur. The only exception is people who are diabetic. Many of us have a treat each night. I can tell you, I love me some Klondikes.0

Don't worry about the sugar in fruit. It's only the added sugar in foods that you have to worry about. Like the "sugar" in soda or whatnot.
Fruit is so awesome for you! When I started here I had actually stopped eating it because just a couple grapes would send me over my limit! Now I eat them because they're so great!0 -
Unless you are diabetic or have another medical condition that necessitates tracking sugar, it's just a carb. Carbs aren't evil. There's no reason to track sugar separately unless you have an underlying medical condition. . . or unless you like to wave it in the naysayers' faces when you go over on sugar and still lose weight.0

There is nothing wrong with added sugar. Sugar doesn't make people fat, calories do.0 -
