I am looking to get myself a hoopfit (as seen on tiktok) but after doing my research people have said it really works and its a great way to get the mid section in check.
Just wondering if anyone here has bought it and used it with good results? also which one you purchased as there are so many types out there..I have checked amazon but i dont want to buy one thats cheap and will break when i put it on.

Update : I bought the HoopFit one and while yes it is indeed an intense workout..its hard for me to master..I also nailed myself in the spine with the 1 pound weight on it and boy did that hurt for a few days. I will keep at it though along with the other workout machines.1

I love my weighted hula hoop. I'm disabled and can't safely do any exercise that requires me to move my legs too much, so the hula hoop is great.
Not sure what you mean by getting your mid section in check though. It's an okay workout for core muscles, but there are much more effective core workouts.
I find it mostly works my leg and hip stabilizer muscles. That said, I find it easy to do, so perhaps you are using more mid section muscles than I am. I control the rotation from my legs with extremely small movements just shifting my weight back and forth from one leg to the other, not with large swings pivoting from the middle like I've seen some people in videos do.
That said, even that small side to side movement of my legs has become unsustainable with my injuries, so I haven't done it in a bit.2 -
I did powerhooping classes when it first started in New Zealand around 2014. I wasn't very committed, stopped after a month and the hoop collected dust for years. I picked it up again and set myself a challenge of 15-20 mins every day for 30 days. It's been great - I ended up doing 30 - 45 mins, mostly following Hula hoop fit videos on YouTube. I did hurt myself though going hard out doing something I shouldn't have done with a weighted hoop (like slamming my body with multiple kidney punches)... I've learned to not do that anymore!! My core feels stronger and I can burn 200 calories for 35 mins. It's fun too.0

Yeah, the actual weighted hula hoop can bang you up quite a bit. What I believe OP has is what I have, which is like a big belt with a track in it, and then a weight on a string that flies around the body instead. So no weighted hoop to slam you in the kidneys, lol.
Instead, at least for me, it feels like being lightly punched by a bunch of tiny toddler fists.1
