Question regarding breathing

I have recently started running (running/jogging/walking/running in that order as soon as I can run again).

My question is when running should I keep my mouth sealed and breathe only through the nose? I remember a sports coach I know long back told me breathing just through the nose helps in lung capacity but is this true? Any advice is helpful!

I'd guess many people can't even do it because their nose/septum isn't straight, allergies, lots of other things. I usually do both together.

I try to breathe in and out through my nose, but it's only possible when running at a slow pace. I usually switch to breathing in through the mouth and out through the nose.
Nothing to do with increasing lung capacity though, it's just so I don't get thirsty as fast 🙂

Now I'm curious if it does anything for my lung capacity, I'll have to do my own search 😁
