Question regarding breathing

I have recently started running (running/jogging/walking/running in that order as soon as I can run again).
My question is when running should I keep my mouth sealed and breathe only through the nose? I remember a sports coach I know long back told me breathing just through the nose helps in lung capacity but is this true? Any advice is helpful!

did a search through forums, looks like this has been discussed to length, please ignore this discussion1

I'd guess many people can't even do it because their nose/septum isn't straight, allergies, lots of other things. I usually do both together.0

I try to breathe in and out through my nose, but it's only possible when running at a slow pace. I usually switch to breathing in through the mouth and out through the nose.
Nothing to do with increasing lung capacity though, it's just so I don't get thirsty as fast 🙂
Now I'm curious if it does anything for my lung capacity, I'll have to do my own search 😁0
