Losing weight

I got a Peloton Tread on April 22 and started walking everyday for 20 minutes, sometimes twice a day and have been doing stretching and yoga as well. I’ve only lost 2 pounds but my husband noticed I’m losing inches in my lower belly and I noticed my pants are fitting better. I’ve been using MFP for only a few days and it’s wonderful that MFP and Apple Health talk to each other to figure out how resting energy and active energy figure into your daily calories. I’m trying to be patient watching the scale but it’s hard when it goes up and not down. Thanks for letting me vent!

2 lb since April 22nd seems fine progress to me - no "only" about it.
Hard to imagine you would of lost inches in that short period of time though - or have I misunderstood? did you mean you were already losing weight but just got the Peloton Tread on April 22nd?
Anyway scales will go up and down throughout your journey and will continue to do so at maitenance.
As long as the trend is downward (or stable within a range in maitenance) then that is fine.2 -
I just got the tread on April 22. Not very active prior to that but now am walking 1-2 times a day 20 minutes each time. Did I mention I need to learn patience…lol.1

Best way is always slow and steady. Scales don’t tell the full story. Listen to how your body feels and what the mirror tells you2

If you took the word "only" out of your post (and you really should in such a short timescale!) then all you have is good news of positive steps to improve your health and nice results from the effort you have put in.2

It didn’t pile on fast, and we have such unreasonable expectations (hope, desire!) that it will come off fast.
Sometimes beginning new exercise can cause temporary water weight gain, especially if your muscles are sore at all, and all this sounds rather recent.
New stretching exercises in particular can hit muscles that aren’t used to being manipulated and creat soreness. Have you noticed any of that?
I like what someone here said the other day. Plan on weight loss with maintenance in mind from the very beginning. You want habits you can keep forever. You don’t want to “get there” and packing all back on again by reverting to old habits.
Two pounds is better than good. That’s more than a pound a week. That’s a super job!!!!! (Assuming you’re fueling your body and not doing some ridiculously low calorie goal.)
