I redid the sealant and replaced one of my valve cores, and just enjoyed my first ride on my nicer wheels since last fall. Some air was leaking, I wasn't in the mood to deal with it, and have been using some box section alloy wheels with tubes in the meantime. What a profound difference! Great wheels make it feel like an entirely different bike. It's not just faster, it's more sure footed and precise through corners. Side winds are less of a concern, which is crazy. And they make the most wonderful sound above maybe 20 mph, it says "you can dig a little deeper!"

    Nice! Bike upgrades are fun.

I'm wondering about cross winds on my new ones. Just had HED 60mm wheels put on my tri bike. Looking forward to giving them a whirl this week to find out.

Nice. I ended up having to clean out all the boogers left behind from the old/dry sealant before I could get a good, strong reseal. That was a bit of a chore. Maybe not an issue on road tires, though?
