actually i m fed up with poisoning my body with high carbohydrates content food and high amount to stop hunger untill i feel satisfied
is it possible to eat just vegetables and fruits and proteins
actually i tried that b4 but taste is not so yummy
idk how to face the challenge of the taste
can i get used to to fruits and vegetables if i continue to eat them only ?
also i m not feel satisfied ... i m talking about stoping hunger in fact
is it possible ?
what is going on in the real life ?
we all has desires that may drive us to eat this or that
should i be flexible ? and only count calories ?
or what to do?
is it not practical to eat fruits and vegetables becoz we have desires
and only count calories ?
thank you indeed

It feel like you are fed up with processed food in your body, yet I sense a feeling of noncommittment in your coming meal plan.
I sense "high carbohydrate content food" you are dealing with a substandard blood glucose or triglyciderate levels.
Read up on the "keto" and "paleo," and Mediterranean food plan, and when you can commit to one of them, it's time to plan.

Carbohydrates aren't "poison". They are just one of the three macro-nutrients. And veg and fruit are primarily carbohydrates. There are numerous sources of carbohydrates that are also highly nutritional. vegetables, fruit, root vegetables like potatoes and sweet potatoes, whole grains like oats and barley, legumes, lentils, etc.
I just limit the amount of actual sweets and whatnot, but I don't eliminate them. If I have a cookie for desert after my evening dinner, it doesn't "poison" me and is pretty immaterial to my overall diet.14 -
Seems like we have this conversation every few months with you! 😉
I lost a substantial amount of weight eating more than just fruits, vegetables and proteins.
I also consume breads, cheeses, empty carbs, gallons of chai and coffee, chocolate, and many variations of dairy, including nightly homemade ice creams.
If you’re counting calories, you can eat anything you want. It’s portions you have to control, and you do that by counting calories.
Think of it like your bank account. You have to budget your money, right? Budget your calories. Would you buy a Mercedes and not leave enough money to pay rent? Of course not. If I have a specific- calorie breakfast here, and a chicken breast there, I have enough calories left over for something else.
As that happened, I naturally found myself spending my calories on things that would fill me up, and spending less on sugary, carby treats.
As that happened, I discovered that my palate actually cleansed, and things that had tasted bad before, now tasted good. I LOVE strawberries and oranges now, and now like enough vegetables to give me a healthy variety.
So nowadays, I will choose a giant bowl of fruit and cottage cheese over a candy bar. Similar calories, far more healthy, and definitely more filling.
Instead of ricocheting plans every few months, find a plan you can settle into, without so much anxiety.
You do realize you’d have lost much of the weight by now if you’d started doing this a year or so ago,?
People who look for quick or easy fixes usually sabotage themselves into slow (or no) weight loss.
Take a deep breath, my friend, and do it right this time.8 -
I love strawberries, too! But I don't love oranges.
I sense springlering62 or cwolfman13 isn't 45-50, and isn't dealing with glucose or triglycerides. They are an "average" weight. I started out with an A1C was 9.0 (I was admitted with sepsis pneumonia), and I got it down to be 5.5 strictly by diet.

You do realise that the majority of Fruits and Vegetables are mostly carbohydrates, yes?5

….and I sense that you forget @cwolfman13 and I are also here due to weight issues. Just because we’re now a “normal weight” doesn’t preclude us from totally having been there done that.
You think we’re here for fun?
If you want to talk carbs, at age 56, I was eating 10,000+ calories a day of mostly candy, cookies, cakes, snack foods, pie, doughnuts, chips and usually, a daily warm White Mountain loaf from the grocery bakery, topped off by a large fast food lunch, and whatever I made the family for dinner. And that’s a very conservative estimate.
I turned 60 last week, am down 97 pounds, and exercise regularly. My husband, who is T2 diabetes is also down 35+ since august, exercises with me, and is off diabetes meds for the first time in twenty five or thirty years. That headstand profile picture? I did my first headstand at 57. I worked my *kitten* off to accomplish that.
Hugs to you. I’m very happy for you you’ve been successful, too.10 -

Why do you believe foods that are high in carbs are "poisoning" you? There is a huge range of such foods, and many nutrient dense foods are higher in carbs than other macros (like fruit or beans). Also, many high cal, less nutrient dense foods are as high or higher in fat than carbs (like, say, donuts or cake).is it possible to eat just vegetables and fruits and proteins
It's possible but not a good idea, as chances are you would be low in fat and overly low in cals. It is possible to eat a diet centered around these foods if you want -- for some it might be sustainable, for others not. It seems like you'd do better learning more generally about nutrition and what keeps you feeling not hungry, though.actually i tried that b4 but taste is not so yummy

Maybe experiment with different ways of cooking? I love fruits and veg and various types of meat.can i get used to to fruits and vegetables if i continue to eat them only ?
I think that would be difficult if you don't enjoy them. (And you shouldn't ONLY eat fruits and veg.) Maybe not being so extreme and figuring out how you do enjoy fruits and veg would be helpful. Are there ways of preparing them that you enjoy?also i m not feel satisfied ... i m talking about stoping hunger in fact

Are you struggling with hunger when eating a reasonable number of cals? When? It is helpful to think through these questions and adjust.
If you are feeling hungry, changing up your diet or timing of your meals or some such may be helpful.2 -

OP hasn't yet said anything about blood sugar issues.4 -

I'm 48. I lost 40 Lbs 10 years ago. I had high glucose numbers (pre-diabetic) and my triglycerides were over 500. I didn't go low carb. I did cut back on sweets (mostly soda), but did not eliminate them completely. Losing weight and regular exercise had the biggest impacts. The OP makes no mention of health conditions for which he should only eat fruits and veg and protein...also dietary fat is pretty dang important and would be substantially lacking with just fruit and veg and chicken breast or something.7 -

LOL! Spring is nearly 60 (or maybe actually is, I forget), and IIRC Wolfman is in his 40s - I believe later 40s, but I'm not certain. Both have been overweight previously, even if at "average weight" now. They're giving OP good advice, from (successful) experience.
I'm 66, started down the path of weight loss specifically because of high cholesterol and triglycerides (at age 59), plus high blood pressure, and was class 1 obese at the time. My cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood pressure are solidly normal now, and have been for 6+ years. Yes, I'm now at a healthy weight, BMI 21-point-something.
Literally, the only significant change I made was managing my calorie intake sensibly. I still eat the same range of foods (just different portion sizes, proportions on the plate, frequencies of some calorie-dense things), kept doing basically the same type/amount of exercise to lose/maintain weight because I'd been active while still obese (increased exercise somewhat during the pandemic out of boredom, but that happened long after weight loss).
Carbs are not the devil. I eat 225g or so of them most days . . . almost entirely from veggies and fruits and no-sugar-added dairy foods, though I do eat a bit of added sugar.
Yes, someone who is diabetic or pre-diabetic (among a few other health conditions) will likely need to manage carb levels carefully. Others . . . well, if carbs spike a person's appetite (as they do for some), those folks should eat fewer carbs; if low carb eating energy (as it does for some), those folks should eat enough carbs to stay energized. That's common sense, and individual, though, not any kind of universal strict rule set. Age alone is not per se a health condition, doesn't inherently require deeply cutting carbs in order to lose weight or promote health.
You (@candylilacs) have done great getting your A1C in better range by diet alone. I got my bad cholesterol/triglycerides/blood pressure in better range by weight loss alone. We don't even know what issues OP has, other than not enjoying how he thinks he needs to eat in order to lose weight.

You know why they are both “average weight” right? They both lost weight to get there by counting calories. They both eat carbs, both eat what they enjoy, and both have tonnes of experience in weight loss and exercise. They’ve been there, got the T-shirt and offer common sense advice.
Oh and I eat carbs. A lot. And I maintain my BMI at 21.5 even with some weird hormonal *kitten* going on.9 -
OP, you know if you only eat fruit and vegetables, that you would only be eating carbs, right? You need fat and protein also.4
