Step count not matching Fitbit?

I have a Fitbit Charge 5 and today I noticed my step count on MFP is waaaaaaay over what it should be. My fitbit is at only 1200 and some steps, but MFP has me at over 23,000! Naturally this has messed up my extra calories as well. I can't find a way to fix it or get rid of these extra steps it's given me. I've disconnected my fitbit, reconnected, closed completely out of the app, synced numerous times, but nothing is working.
