So I've been losing weight for over a year... I started out on really low carb, then decided to go back to just calorie counting. I gained 10lbs of water right away (as i thought).... Then lost the 10 of water, then lost 10 more...... Now, I've been bouncing around the same 5-7lb week after week after week.... I tried eating more, tried eating less... Is my body just in a "time out" phase? This has been going on since May..... what the heck!!???

I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE UP.... but some days it gets to upsetting.

Any help would be great. Thanks

How long did you try eating more and eating less? Seeing results of a change in calorie intake can take several weeks. And by your ticker, it looks like you are close to goal weight - congrats! The closer we get, the slower in goes unfortunately....are you also taking measurements? Clothes fitting any more loosely? I've had months where my scale doesn't change much, but I was losing inches. That rotten scale can't be trusted!

I've only tried the eating more thing for about 3 weeks now. I'll gain 2, lose 2.... etc..

You needed more time like about 6-8 weeks and what you gain was water weight.

I *always* take about 6 weeks before I start seeing any measurable results that can't be attributable to water fluctuations. Give it time.

do you weigh your food with a digital scale? if not that can be an issue and you could be eating a lot more then you think.

Thanks folks... Guess I'm impatient.. lol....... I'm just afraid, no TERRIFIED at the thought of gaining weight again. I have to remember to not only look at the goal line, but to look back at how far I've come. :)

I'll keep it up and see what happens.
