If you have a Kindle, Amazon has a FREE ibook called "The IF Diet" by Robert Skinner. If you have an iphone you can download the Kindle app. IF (Intermittent Fasting) in addition to helping people lose weight has been shown to have amazing health benefits and there are 3 ways that it can be done. Although most of the studies have been on animals, there are also some human studies. IF can be done by fasting 2 days a week (5:2 method), every other day (alternate-day or AD method), or for a third of each day (8 hour method). 5:2 and AD are not really fasting because you can eat up to 500 calories a day. I have been doing 5:2 since April and I am happily maintaining a 30-34 lb weight loss. The beauty of fasting is that you can eat a little more on the otherdays and sstill maintain a calorie deficit for the week!

As you know, I love the 5:2 and will certainly look into this - though I have neither a Kindle nor an iPhone ....0
