Hello, please help me im in agony.
Yesterday doing a fast paced cardio workout with weights I managed to pull a muscle in my back, neck, left shoulder. I felt it twang when working out, but didnt stop as didnt want to quit. silly really as I have been un-able to workout today.
It hurts to sit, stand, lie, a good posture seems to hurt more then slouching to the right side. It hurts to stretch my neck ( moving my head from side to side?) it is unbearable
How can i ease the pain right now?! Simple stretching? or will this make it worse? If stretching is good, what in particular?
Heat? i debated a bath but my bath is sow small i wouldn't be able to submerge my upper back comfortable without having my legs half way up the wall. So debated a hot water bottle? but is heat wrong should it be a cold compress?
Please help me to one soothe my pain asap, two, to encourage the muscle to get better quicker so i can get back to burning my fat

Try and get some heat to the muscles. Hot water bottle, get the blood flowing.0

Great thank-you0 -
Get it checked out fast. The description sounds like a rhomboid injury; it runs from your neck diagonally down to your shoulder blade. I tore my right rhomboid about a year ago, and it made it IMPOSSIBLE to get out of bed on my own, or even roll over most of the time. I had someone pulling me up from under my arms to a sitting position every morning until it calmed down.
See your doctor. Enjoy your pain killers/muscle relaxers. Ask about massage therapy when the inflammation calms a bit. I had a deep tissue/Swedish massage combo done on my upper back alone with the rhomboid as focus, and it felt like it took 50 lbs off my shoulders.
Hope you find something that works. Get better!0 -
