carbs and protein

Okay so i am doing the zone diet 40%protein 30% carbs and 30%fat. I am really struggling to get in all my protein. can anyone help with this.. i always meet my carbs but never protein!! help!!!! i have 100 pounds to lose so if anyone has and tips on a typical days eating please comment with it. thank in advance for the help.

    The zone diet is a nice balance, but in RE to your weight loss itself, calories are the most important. I also do the zone and to get my protein I have to supplement with whey. I also make sure I have protein at every meal which means I'm eating eggs or some kind of meat, poultry, or fish at every meal.

    I retty much eat two eggs daily...I also eat a lot of fish and poultry and lean cuts of beef and pork.

    just browse my and rock's diary's. He's a little more carbs than I am right now, but we're both 30ish% protein.

    your body doesn't need that much protein, but if you want to do 40%, then shakes are going to become your best friend.

    It's better to shoot for a set number of grams instead of a percentage. ratios really mean nothing. A 150 pound man doesn't need any MORE than 150g of protein, and honestly, the actual requirement is much less, generally .7-1g of protein per pound of LEAN body mass (or your total weight minus your body fat).

    I'm not doing the zone, but I get quite a bit of protein.

    Chicken breast gets my protein numbers high pretty quickly, it's kind of my go-to. I also partake of lots of greek yogurt (plain) and cottage cheese. Sometimes I'll do a can of tuna, but not too often because I don't want to be swimming with mercury. That's a different topic, though.

    I like chicken. There are Protein bars you can find in the Cereal isle by the Granola bars (at my store anyway) that have 20g of Protein in them. The Peanut Butter ones are edible.
