Hi! I would like to give up sweets to decrease frequency of migraines. I have a hard time avoiding sweets completely. We have desserts in our house, and I think it might help if I only make desserts that I don't like for my family, so I'm not tempted to eat them (the desserts, not the family. )
What worked for you in eliminating sweets?

I eliminated the mindset that I can never have them. That just leads to me obsessing over cheesecake for a week and then I binge on it… no need to eliminate something unless you are allergic to it0

The op thinks it'll decrease migraines.
But, to be fair, a VERY quick google search didn't show sweets as a trigger. Other than chocolate.
