Why does my Fitbit add so many calories?

Hello! I’m trying to maintain my weight and with a lightly active lifestyle ( I manage a coffee shop) I was allotted 1800 calories a day. Yesterday for instance, I walked about 9000 steps and the Fitbit adjustment told me I could eat an additional 1300 calories. That Cannot be right! What’s the deal? I’d believe it if it gave me 100-200 but if I ate 3100 calories a day I’d be the size of a barn!

I'm guessing the issue is with your Fitbit, not MFP. Fitbit overestimates your calorie burn, for example because your heart rate is higher than average? And/or it autostarts recording cardio activities?
If your Fitbit is telling you your total calorie burn for yesterday was 3100 (or probably more - is your MFP profile set for weight loss?) then the issue is Fitbit.0 -
I have been having a similar issue this past week. MFP is showing way too many calories burned for fitbit sync. Even more then i burn on fit it app.0
