    Simple. Weigh what you eat, before you eat it.

    Log it into your food diary.

    Voila! Food diary calculates your total calories eaten each time you make an entry.

    Have you gone to your profile and entered your height, weight, age, sex and goal weight? That will tell you how many calories you need to eat to “maintain” (stay at your current weight). Then you select how many pounds per week you want to lose.

    My advice, unless you are obese, is to select .5-1 pound per week, less if you have less than 20 pounds or so to lose.

    It’s better to lose slower than fast, because you are far more likely to keep it off.
