Hi all. Just hoping to hear from people who were able to get off of blood pressure meds through lifestyle changes.
What did you find worked for you?
Thanks in advance.

I was on the borderline of needing BP meds (part of the rationale for making changes). Weight loss put my BP solidly back in the normal range. I've seen others here report being able to reduce or eliminate the meds as they made weight, eating, and fitness improvements.
If you have family history of high blood pressure, especially if among non-overweight relatives, your situation may be more complicated. For me, just getting to a healthy weight was enough. Exercise can also matter, but I was already quite active athletically while obese, so not part of the needed change for me.
Sometimes improving food quality (more fruit/veggies, whole grains, reduced sodium, etc.) can be helpful.1
