am i plateauing?

I have lost 81 lbs since Feb 14th 2012. But the 6 years I was completely sedetary. In my chair almost all day. The doc said in may I only had 116lbs of lean muscle mass at 220lbs. I am still at 219lbs but doc says I have 148.6lbs of lean muscle mass now. Is this why the scale isn't moving or is it because I can't hardly ever seem to get more than 800-1000 calories a day. I have a nessan(stomach wrap for acid reflux disease) so my stomach is the size of a small orange. So I just can't eat that much at one sitting and I stay full longer. Am I doing this right? Feel good but want to be smaller. Help!

Okay, a couple things. First, I looked at your diary, and your protein intake is ridiculously low. Eating at a deficit causes muscle loss, but eating at least 1 g of protein per kg of bodyweight will help minimize this. Eat your protein.

Second thing. You've been eating a very low calorie diet, and now you have nowhere to go as far as lowering intake goes. Typically, when long plateaus happen, it's because the person's now smaller body has become accustomed to the intake and is running more efficiently on less fuel. The solution to this is to lower intake. Problem is, you can't lower your intake because you started so low. I encourage you to take a refeeding period eating at or slightly below maintenance for a few weeks, then lower again, but not to the level you are eating now. It's much too low for an adult your size.

As far as not being able to eat more, start eating more calorie dense foods, like nuts, full-fat dairy, and avocado. You may need to slowly ramp up to an adequate intake, but if you just eat a little more every day, you will get used to it.

The thing is I also have ibs so I have to eat healthy easy to digest foods. Processed foods kill me. I don't starve myself I eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. So eating more is hard.

Wut? Your diary is full of processed foods. I see ice cream, corn nuts, macaroni and cheese just in the last few days. Like I said, if you can't eat more, eat calorie-dense foods. Two tablespoons of nut butter is 180-200 calories. Half an avocado is 150-175 calories. Eat more protein, because you're going to lose more lean body mass than you'd like otherwise. Supplement with low-sugar protein shakes if you need to.
