My family sometimes starts sharing limericks via group text and I thought I'd share the game with you all! Write a limerick about anything at all.

Limerick Rules:
They are five lines long.
Lines 1, 2, and 5 rhyme with one another.
Lines 3 and 4 rhyme with each other.
They have a distinctive rhythm.
And usually, they're funny!

Examples:
My mom worked hard every day
And put up with four kids who wanted to play
She would mutter "I love my children"
And we knew she loved us a billion
And that's why we'd live to see another day

Every day I dream of food
I wish I could walk away for good
If I did I would starve
Instead this turkey I will carve
At least eating will improve my mood

    But water I wish I had more
    For my stomach hurt to the core

    The workday was not full of glamour
    And my family is making a clamor
    Why again do I need to feed them
    A cook and maid would be a gem

    With my coffee tomorrow I'll be wired
    It's a good thing for a long day
    I'm sure it'll all be okay
    However at this moment only my bed is desired

    This day was much too long...
    Not enough time is just so wrong.
    I need a jolt to start anew...
    And sometimes don't know what to do.
    I will remember that God gives me strength...
    And be Thankful for days with such wisdom at length.
    Tomorrow will be a brand new day...
    And always remember that it will all be okay. 💖
