So I'm new, so maybe this is a thing I just haven't figured out, but day 1 I had a portion of pasta bake - calculated the cals using the app, cool. Day 2 I had half that size portion as a leftover, but because I couldn't figure out how to tell the app how big the portion was it totally ruined my daily goal! 😢

Did you create a recipe in MFP, then use that to portion the pasta bake? If so, and you created the recipe with (say) 8 portions, ate 1 the first day, you'd log that as 1 portion; then the next day log 0.5 (half) of one portion.
Some of us, when using MFP recipes, like to weigh the finished product** and set the of portions at the number of grams in the finished product. Then, if we eat (say) 123 grams of the recipe, we log 123 portions. (** Weighing the finished product of a thing baked in a baking dish: Weigh the empty dish before you start, weigh the total thing when it comes out of the oven, subtract the weight of the dish.)0
