Steps not being recorded

I am having trouble le getting my fitness pal (mfp) to record my steps. I have a samsung active watch 2 that is connected to my phone through the Samsung health app and I have the Samsung health app connected to my fitness pal. While the watch and the Samsung app do record my steps they are not being recorded on mfp. I have made sure the permissions are enabled. I have even tried to use Google fit but that doesn't work either and Google fit doesn't show the same amount of steps and my watch and Samsung app. Does anyone know how to fix this?
