Challenges / Badges logging problem

I'm wondering if someone can explain what I'm doing wrong here? My steps are counted in the Challenges, but when I try to enter a hiking or walking challenge, nothing registers! I should have three more Badges this week, but the count is showing zero and I can't figure out why - any ideas please? I realise it's probably my error 😅
