INGREDIENTS:
8 cups of water in a pitcher or other sufficiently large container
1 teaspoon of magnesium ascorbate powder (Vitamin C)
The powdery contents of 2 Nutricost Vitamin B complex capsules

Stir these ingredients together, put the homemade Vitamin Water in the refrigerator, and let it sit overnight to give the vitamins a chance to dissolve. Be prepared to stir it all again, as some of the powder will settle at the bottom.

This homemade Vitamin Water isn't intended to be consumed straight. Mix 1/4 cup or so of it into something else, such as water, tea, or milk. Do this a few times per day. Over the course of a day, you will consume about 1 cup of this Vitamin Water.

WHAT'S THE POINT?
* Mineral ascorbates are better absorbed and easier on the stomach than ascorbic acid. I choose magnesium ascorbate, because I'd rather have extra magnesium than extra calcium or sodium.
* Vitamin C and the B vitamins are all water soluble. Your body will absorb them better if these vitamins are already dissolved in water. This is a vast improvement over consuming dry tablets and capsules and hoping that they fully dissolve in your stomach and intestines.
* Your body can absorb and use a limited amount of these vitamins at a time. It's better to consume smaller amounts multiple times per day than a large amount all at once. This is also easier on your stomach and kidneys.
* The Nutricost Vitamin B complex supplement has proportionately less Vitamin B3. It's all too easy to exceed the Tolerable Upper Limit for Vitamin B3 when taking supplements, because it's barely over double the US RDA. Yet some supplements have lots of In contrast, there's no Tolerable Upper Limit for Vitamins B1, B2, and B12. (It's likely because the body can easily get rid of any excess.) The Nutricost Vitamin B complex supplement has proportionately larger amounts of these vitamins.
