Hello

I’ve been here before. But it seems my entire friends list is inactive. I’ve also been inactive.
I’m looking to change my relationship with food. And get back into fitness. I LOVE P90X and will be starting (again) soon. Some tell me that at 50+ I should give up the P90X, but I don’t think so. It’s only as extreme as you want it to be. Modify modify modify.
Anyway, food is my kryptonite.
I’ve been on a rollercoaster of restrict, binge restrict binge and on and on and on. So, I’m going to take it slow and figure it out.
Oh, I’m also a WW member, (at least for another few days) I was at my goal weight and pretty fit from 2016 up to 2020 and then all HELL broke loose and I’ve gained approximately 37lbs. The WW program changes so often it’s difficult to maintain goal (for me anyway)
So that’s my story.

You keep going with the P90x! I am 49 and I am through week 6 withTony Horton and it is both the hardest and best thing I have ever done for getting back in shape. Now I can get through plyometrics without modifiers and extra break time, which I didn’t think I could do even last week. Like Tony says, keep showing up, keep pressing play, bring it, and modify modify modify. You can totally do it!!! Just listen to your body for cues on overdoing it. I know I had to. With food, I wish I had some wisdom to share, but all I can say is you are not alone, so don’t be too hard on yourself. Food is tough because you can’t quit it like smoking or drinking, you have to eat to live. For myself I decided to lose weight
slower so I don’t feel like I can’t ever have a treat again. Good luck and all the best to you!
