Food challenges are hard when I'm traveling. I'd like to think under is better than over, but I've been pretty far under every day.
I have my goals set for 40% carbs, 30% fat, 30% protein. I've been playing w/ Microsoft excel to put together a calculator to show where my percentages are actually at:
carbs fat protein
52% 23% 25%
47% 22% 31%
45% 22% 33%
61% 21% 19%
So I looked up percentage recomendations. http://caloriecount.about.com/percent-calories-fat-protein-carbs-q184
The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends this distribution for the energy nutrients:
•Fat: 20 - 35% of total calories (average 30%)
•Protein: 10 – 35% (average 15%)
•Carbohydrates: 45 – 65% (average 55%)
So.... Since I've been over 20% every day I'm not going to sweat it.0 -

Well I went over in fat today because I ate certain things earlier based on me getting in a better workout than I did (took the kids and dogs for a quick walk). Oh well, at least I wasn't over by THAT much. I'm back on track with my logging though and am looking forward to another great week! Hope you all have enjoyed your weekend, even though it ALWAYS goes too fast!
I've been trying to think of things for next week's challenge and haven't come up with anything.......? I've been working more and more on incorporating strength training into my weekly regimine so maybe something to include that (IDK what though). Sorry I'm not that helpful!
I'm getting ready to fix the kids dinner and then relax the rest of the evening!0 -
