    I have heard that as well, not sure if it is true or not. I workout early in the morning because it is the only free time I have during the work week.

    I've always heard that working out in the morning gets your metabolism going for the day and you burn more calories during the day. Fact or crap? Just wondering...

    When you work out first thing you are burning your actual fat versus working out later and burning off calories you eat. I work out first thing in the morning because for one it is OVER with and the other I feel like I have better weight loss.

    Nothing wrong with working out in the morning--lots of good reasons to do it. But.....for the average person, it has NO enhanced effect on "fat burning". Loss of stored body fat depends primarily on maintaining a long-term average calorie deficit, not on any fuel substrate used during an exercise session.
