Encouragement, please?

Encouragement needed to get past the scale!

Started being more mindful of what I eat at the end of May; started swim training and strength training mid-June; had a body scan at the gym early July that put me at 44% body fat; next scheduled scan is end of August (I don't have a target in mind) but by the end of the year I'd like to be under 30%.

Where I need encouragement... I can tell I'm getting more muscular and simultaneously leaner, hooray, and I can see shoulder muscles, and I'm now wearing a smaller swimsuit BUUUUUUUT it's so difficult to ignore the scales which say not much is happening!!! I've lost 4kg since May and my brain knows that'll be something like 5kg of fat gone and 1kg of muscle built, yet all the logic in the world is not helping my feelings of sadness/stress and the belief that I'm never going to get there :-/

What is it that you want to achieve?

I want to be fitter, stronger, faster, look smaller and have more defined muscles. Weighing less is quite a long way down the list and sort of a by product of working on the other things. It's not like anyone else looks at you and sees that number on your head 😁

Don't let it distract you from your brilliant progess!
