Hello returning 45 year old to lose pandemic weight

Hello, my name is Bridget. I’m from California. Before the pandemic I was 285lbs. Now I am at my heaviest at 345lbs. My goal is 250lbs. I am 5’9” big bone build.
I used this app before and I did lose 50lbs.
I tried it again a few months ago but I didn’t see any results.
Turns out my Dr said I needed to eat way less than what the app told me.
The app says I should eat about 3000 calories but my Dr said I should stick to 1200 😳.
He said for woman after 40 and taking certain medications, our metabolism slooooooooows down.
So here I go with eating only 1200 calories a day. Add me for inspiration.
Let’s see if I see any change.

    Wow, I strongly disagree with your doc! I'm 45, 5'5" and currently weigh 239, my calorie goal is about 1450 (I have my goal set to a 2 lb loss per week). I started at 265 and have been steadily losing (26 lbs so far). Every body is different, and of course I have no idea what your situation or medications are for your doctor to recommend something that low. Please be careful and really pay attention to how your body is feeling. Do you remember what your settings were when you lost the 50 lbs?
