Graphic designer: Treadmill desk or bike desk

Any graphic designers use either of these (treadmill or bike desk). I work on a laptop doing mostly layout/publication stuff (drop name here, make text edits there) - no line drawing or illustration going on. But still, I’m concerned I’ll be jostling and unable to do my work. But bro this work from home mombod is not doin it for me lol. Trying to make some changes!

Can anyone in my profession (or similar) confirm whether it’s a good or bad idea?

Not in your job but sitting behind computer all day. I could not imagine using something like this as I want to focus on my work. I do sit on a simple wooden chair though (Arne Jacobsen dining chair copy) and change sitting position a lot: crossing legs, sitting cross-legged, one leg on seat, etc. I seem to be getting a lot of movement on my chair that I could not get on a standard office chair with soft cushion that is designed to make me sit still and keep a straight back. This also helps my back a lot, btw. I also cook during working hours, and depending on what I cook I go to check in the kitchen frequently. I feel I'm more productive this way than in a standard office environment.

Hi there, I posted a similar question asking about under the desk treadmills (standing desk.) I work 12-14 hours a day at a desk job where I have to talk on the phone and type a lot. I got about 2 or 3 replies to my post. I’m on my phone now so MFP won’t let me copy the link but later I will post the link to my post here. It might help you a little.

I tried one 10 years ago or so. I hated it and it took focus away from my work. I found it far more beneficial to just get up every hour and walk around for a few minutes and then do some air squats or something before I sit down and then focus on dedicated exercise and active recreation outside of work.
