Oxidative stress and weight lifting

So I do a lot of lifting - could be 4-7 days per week depending on how much life gets in the way.
My question is regarding oxidative stress from exercise and whether that contributes to getting rundown and sick. Does this happen to you? Do you ramp up on anti-oxidants to combat the impact of all the lifting? I'm told that a lot of lifters take lots of extra multivites. If you lift a lot, do you find that vitamins help?

BCAA's are supposed to help with this as well.
That said, lifting more than 4-5 days a week is going to be too much for most people. Depending on your routine, of course.0 -
Just read an article on Yahoo that says taking antioxidants after lifting is actually bad for you. It interferes with your bodies normal processes. If you eat plenty of fruits and vegetables you shouldn't need supplements.0
