New here because of Genopalate

I did Genopalate (have tried EVERYTHING short of bariatric surgery) and got my micronutrient recommendation along with a bunch of other fascinating info. They suggested MFP to more easily track nutrients. I've been at it less than 2 weeks. I'm an RN, and thought I was doing the right thing with my food intake ... just too much. Au contrare! Not enough carbs, not enough protein and WAY too many of my calories from fat. I lost one pound my first week... exactly my goal. Interested to see where this goes. I know tracking my food is important, but this discovery has made tracking critical for me. I find I'm far more likely to do it now that I know what a difference it can make in my macro-nutrient balance. I'm hopeful... my cardiovascular health depends on it. It's such hard work on my heart, dragging this extra weight around.... need to get after the exercise now that I'm tracking food regularly. Using fitbit.
