Rain shell/jacket recommendations

I know there are some gear addicts in here...

I'm looking for rain jacket recommendations. My 15yr-old Marmot finally called it quits. I don't have any good outdoor shops near me, so I'll be researching and ordering online, probably from REI.

Seems like everyone has their own proprietary material/coating now, so I'm not sure how to compare various shells in terms of waterproof-ness and breathability.

Any tips/suggestions? Packable is preferred, but not required. Little to no added warmth/insulation (I'll layer it if/when needed). Leading candidate right now is the OR Helium, but I'm open to others.

TIA.

I’m a huge fan of Revolution Race. Swedish brand which ships everywhere. They’re v reasonably priced, not insulated but actually windproof, awesome ventilation and doesn’t make me sweat when it’s hot. Good to layer too. It’s lightweight, 20000g/m2/24hr breathability, waterproof 20000mm. I’ve tried loads over the years from Musto, Helly Hansen, North Face, gortex stuff etc and I can honestly say this is the best jacket ever. It’s less than half the price my OH paid for his walking jacket.
