Hi there!
Im early 30s female, started struggling with weight about 6 years ago and have finally stepped on the scale, which my bmi is now obese! I am committed to losing weight for my health among other reasons. And I want to learn to run! Today was my frost run using c25k. It was so hard! My lower back was killing me. Anyhow if anyone has any advice for a newbie with no running expierence and just motivation to stick to tracking calories, let me know. Feeling really committed and excited about changes I going to make.
Thanks for reading

Start slow, very slow: a pace that allows you to still talk fairly easily.
And make sure you're using good shoes! If you're using old ones, even if they don't look worn, they might not be absorbing the shocks of running sufficiently (plastic and river garden with time). Also, I recommend proper running shoes, not shoes meant for other sports.
I started where you are: obese, unfit, in my thirties. Now: BMI of 22 and the fittest I've ever been (just ran a 5k in less than 30 minutes, a personal best!).
Calorie counting saved me - if I can do it, you can too! If you have specific questions, don't hesitate to ask. But I recommend reading through the stickied posts at the top of each subforum, loss of useful info there.1
