Depression

Hey all

Anyone else managed high functioning depression / PDD?

I’m so down in the dumps.

I function, cook, clean, work, sleep / but all of it is just about done and I never feel good about any of it and I’m always left completely fatigued from it.

I don’t even go up and down in moods much, so I know it’s nothing like a serious mental health issue like bipolar.

It’s also mild but I’ve been like this for 3 years now.

The weight gain nearly 4 stone now.

I refrain from socialising but when I do I really go all out and omg my energy is depleted for 2 weeks after the event.

My husband is useless. He’s not emotionally connected to me at all and doesn’t make me feel better - it’s like I annoy him.

If I share anything with him he just finds a way of using it against me when I’m close to feeling good again.

Argh. I’m a mess.

I’m just worried that this will eventually get so bad I won’t be able to pick myself up at all.

Any tips from anyone who has suffered with depression would be so great.

Thank you

Therapy helps. Especially with recognizing red flags in partners and finding self worth.

Go to: JW.ORG There you will find many articles that can help you. Also, you can type a subject into the search box.

    Hi @beln2day

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I really hope things get better for you and you get some help with blood tests from the docs.

I also want to thank you for the advice that can potentially help - so many good prompts.

I downloaded and app called MyPossibleSelf

    It’s brilliant. Try it

Wishing you all the best (hugs)
