My April Fools WIN in September!

I had my post-radiation checkup on April 1. As I stepped off the scale that old tape was playing in my head. Nananananana, you weigh 205. I was already depressed from too many sad happenings in my life. I really didn't need that old nagging voice in my head. I knew the voice was mine and through the rest of that visit I made a decision to, "shut it up"!
The 5% Spring Challenge was due to start on April 9th. My starting weight was 204.8. My 5% goal was 194.56. My final weigh-in was 194. I reached that 5% goal for the first time in years.
The Summer 5% Started on July 9, my Starting weight was 195. I had basically maintained during the time between challenges. I hadn't done that in years either. My 5% goal was 185.25. My final weight was 184.8! I met my second consecutive 5% goal!
I went back to radiology on 9/7 for a follow-up. I was at 183! I've also lost a total of 11 inches and have gone from a size 18-20 to 16 and even some 14.
I have a long history of illness that has me taking prednisone often so the last years seemed to have been a losing battle. With the help of the 5% challenge and my teammates, I've been able to conquer the prednisone weight and begin to lose again.
By the way, I haven't heard that old tape since April 1.
