Is anyone on Trulicity?

After a trial of Metformin by A1C has remained between 6-6.4, so my pcp has added Trulicty. I’ve felt immediately better and after 3 weeks I’ve lost almost 10 pounds. My pcp was a big fan and said that a nurse in the office has lost 50 on Trulicty. I do experience stomach aches about 18 hours after each dose, but it goes away.

Has anyone else had luck on this medication? Any tips or things I should be aware of?

If it suppresses your appetite you will eat less. If you are eating below maintenance you will lose weight. I guess my only suggestion is not to count on the appetite suppression to always be there. There may come a time when you go off the meds because you A1C is controllable with the weight loss. If you haven't learned to eat a manageable diet, you may put the weight back on.

Thanks for your response. I guess I wasn't clear in my original post. I agree with what you've said about diet changes. I'm just looking to see what others have experienced in terms of 1. controlling blood sugar; 2. side effects and 3. weight loss (of course)
