Hi everyone , needed a change on apps . I'm 59 years old and have 53 lbs to lose. I have been married for 37 years. Have 3 children all grown and 5 grand kids and my furby Jackson.
I've been dieting or trying to lose weight forever.
I like tracking. But I like to see how everyone is doing . I like support and like to give support. I will be 60 in March.

Hey, guess what, interesting coincidence: I joined here when I was 59, turning 60 in a few months. I had around 50-some pounds to lose. I had been overweight to obese for 30+ years at that point.
That was a little over 7 years ago. It took me just under a year to lose from that starting weight (just over the line into class 1 obese) to a healthy weight, and I've been at a healthy weight for 6+ years since, now 66.
It can work, and IMO the benefits are very much worth the effort: More quality of life improvement than I'd imagined, to be honest. I wish I'd done it years earlier!

Hi Cinnamon. I started here at 56, now 60, been in maintenance a couple years now. My husband is 67 and still losing.
The difference in both our health is night and day. More active, feel better, more ….. “vivid” than friends the same age. I want to shake them and smack them upside the heads and shout “you, too!”
