Sage advice

Plant sage during the cool days of spring or fall. This fragrant culinary herb is a great option to grow in containers or out in your garden bed. Space sage plants 18 to 24 inches apart in an area that gets plenty of sunlight and has rich, well-drained soil with a pH of 6.5 to 7.0.

Frankly, being surrounded by the stuff, it's rare that I find a use for it - certainly not in the volumes it is available to me. Since I have so much sage available, what sage advice do you have for me?

this is great time of year to harvest, just collect leaves with small stems and dry in the hot sun or in a low oven for several days, tie into small tight bundles with cotton string, gather your kin in a group and start the fire in the shelter adding bundles as needed and remember only dry heat, then breathe the smoke and listen for what you need to know to guide your dreams before your winter sleep

I love sage. It's one of the only things I don't kill. It's wonderful with poultry or pork and pretty when it flowers

I'm surprised more people aren't into a little herb talk

I think the sage I burn might be bootleg. It never helps clear the energy. And sometimes I’m high at the end.🥺
