I lost over 100lbs, and I'm here to lose more!

Hi everyone,

I lost over 100lbs from 2010 to 2012 using the Fatsecret website and have spent the past year maintaining.

Now I've decided it's time to continue on my journey. I think I'm aiming to lose around 20lbs, but I'm going to judge my goal by how I feel rather than pinning it down to a number. I don't follow a diet. Instead I simply eat real home-cooked food and try to exercise more.

As I'm new to the MFP website, I'd love to meet some new people here to share encouragement and tips with. I'm happy to talk to absolutely anyone and love to share ideas to experiment with. So tell me more about you!

Congrats on your weight loss, I am aiming to lose about 85 lbs myself. I just started my weight loss journey and am hoping to be successful with it.

Wow 100lbs that is amazing! well done. I need to lose 70lbs and have been putting it off for years as I keep thinking what's the point as it is going to take so long to do it. But my daughter is now at school and fed up of being the frumpy mum at pick up time.

    Hello to you both :)

I know it can seem slow going when your goal is so far away, but it will come off much faster than it went on! For me, it was easier to avoid setting a time-specific weight goal - I just resolved to do it no matter how long it took.

If you're looking for mutual support feel free to add me. I'll be logging absolutely everything I can so people can see what I'm eating and I'm happy to talk about my own weight loss, past and present.

    Best of luck!

That's an amazing loss! My original goal when I started was to lose ~110lbs (such an intimidating number!) so I'm always inspired by people who have successfully lost around that much. Best of luck to you with losing a little more!

I know what you mean about setting yourself such a huge goal, but I can't help but notice how much you've already lost! I think that deserves some congrats, too :)
