When Editing Food Please Have It So We Can Add To Our Diary

I know this problem has been here for years so I think it's about time that it be fixed, please.
When we find a food that is incorrect so we edit it. Then we have to go search for the item we just edited so we can add it to our diary. it would be great if we could have the option to add it to out diary after we edit it.
