I should be feeling energetic, at least some energy. When I first started eating healthier foods I was feeling more energy. But now I have been just plain dog tired for about a week now. I take vitamins, I can see the change in where my I am losing weight even down a size to where I had to buy new clothes. But in the past when I have lost weight I felt really good about it and felt good. What can be missing from my diet that would give me more energy? Got any suggestions I need your help.

Are you drinking water? That always gives me energy. Also, make sure you are getting enough protein and iron in your diet. That might help.

Maybe food. :) When I started, I was very lethargic. I increased my calories and felt better right away. ...Also the things Tamim said.

Carbs give you energy. Are you eating enough?

I noticed you said you'd been feeling like this for about a week. Maybe you are coming down with a cold.
Keep eating right and drinking plenty of water. Before you know it, your energy will be back and you'll be feeling good again.

I'm not sure about iron, I will have to do some research on what foods have iron in them. I eat about 5oz of chicken or turkey breast a day. I keep my carbs down low as to keep my blood sugar under better control and actually it has been running pretty low Helawat might have a point there to. So I will try what yous have suggested even more water, and think I will make me some brown rice with chicken tonight and see if it helps. Thanks Everyone:flowerforyou:

Iron is important. Without adequate iron, the body’s ability to carry oxygen from the lungs to the other body cells decreases. This lack of oxygen leads to low production of energy, causing fatigue. This condition is called iron–deficiency anemia.

I'm not saying you're anemic but if you're iron deficient it could cause fatigue.

Carbs are essential, as we all know, for energy....they're fantastic!

Normally I do but the past two days I have only been a couple hundred under, without exercise. I just haven't felt up to it. I will watch it closer today. Thanks.

I was having the same problem/absolutely no energy for about 3 weeks...then, there was a post about fatigue last week and aside from the carb factor, someone mentioned iron deficiency...so, I bought a low dose iron supplement last Friday and felt the difference almost immediately...just a suggestion...

Under your "reports" you can track many things in "nutrition" not just your calories. My Dr. thought I was anemic, but I pulled out my laptop, and showed him my iron intake. (I'm such a nerd, but it saved me from another blood test)

Go to "reports", "nutrition" and then instead of calories, you can select "iron". It will pop a report up for you to check your current intake.

If the fatigue persists, you might want to ask your Dr. Turns out, I had a vitamin B deficiency. Man, do I feel better now.

    Noticed Raz is back...

Many people will experience allergies at this time of year. They will make you tired even if you don't have any other symptoms.

Well I just made an appointment to see my doctor in the morning, I had my chicken and rice by the way and drinking plenty of fluids. So I'm taking every one's advice and truly appreciate your help.:flowerforyou: I will get my allergy shot when I go marywilldiet. I usually get one once a year.

    100. It's done by percents - I believe.
