Looking for some great lean muscle building routines

Hello!

I’m really working on maintaining tone and creating longer lean muscles. I incorporate Pilates (and sometimes yoga) and barre but curious what else is out there!

Any tips, suggestions or routines you enjoy? Thank you in advance!

Every try Plyometrics or Jump Training. It looks simple until you try it. This video shows the basics of plyometrics and offers a series of sets you can do in less than 3 minutes and I bet you will feel them.

You CAN'T create "longer, lean, muscle". You're stuck with how your muscles are attached and there's NO EXERCISE METHOD that will lengthen them contrary to popular belief that certain exercise programs do that for you. People that look longer and leaner have one thing in common: lack of muscle and lower bodyfat.
If you have big leg muscles, all of the Pilates and Barre training in the world WON'T make them smaller or leaner.
This is something I have to go through with clients all the time. Whatever your structure and body shape is is what you go with. You try to enhance what you already have.

That makes sense and I appreciate that, thank you! I will say that I notice better tone all around with Pilates and barre as I know I work a lot of lesser used muscles. I guess my question should focus more on if there are other workout routines similar to Pilates, yoga, and barre?

Thank you for your help and great information! It also helps retrain my brain and see things differently 😊❤️

Just doing body weight workouts will keep your muscles toned up without adding extra muscle. That and if you weight train, keeping the resistance moderate with no overload.
