Losing weight through SMOOTHIES - recommendations?

Harro.

So liek, I hate vegetables. Passionately.

Maybe I'm still be a child here, but the idea of washing vegetables, boiling/steaming/frying it, and then storing the rest and hope they won't go bad by the next time I *actually* motivate myself to repeat this progress, sounds impossible. And on the rare chance I do eat them, I probably only would end up only eating one or three leaves. Then the rest just sits on the plate, used and neglected. (lol) The most intake of vegetables I get in the past are from a cheeseburger.

But after years of avoiding them, it's starting to catch up with me. My bad diet caused me to have weak nails, dead-fish-like-energy, falling hair, zombie skin, and let's not talk about my washroom experiences.

So, I have been reading a lot about smoothies. I'm not going to do anything drastic like *only* drink green smoothies because I don't think I have that kind of commitment, but I was just wondering, what smoothies have you tried that made significant changes to your weight? I am aiming on drinking them for breakfast and snacks. I heard a lot about Green Smoothies but they also seem like they need a lot of ingredients to prep. Is there any simpler, cheaper smoothies that boasts up my energy and lose weight? :] I'm sorry if this is a "stupid frequent question", but the Internet has a ton of recipes and I don't know which ones are good or bad.

:D

I drank loads of red berries with flax seeds and water as a smoothie.
Lots of fiber. Sorry, no veggies in my smoothies. I eat my veggies the "normal" way haha :-)

I'm just like you except 52 years old! I hated vegetables and never could diet properly without them. Last year I got really sick and had to eat them to get better but couldn't stand the way they felt in my mouth. So, I got an Omega juicer, held my nose like a kid taking bad medicine and drank it down.

After awhile, I got used to the taste and started eating veggies. Now I like them, even broccoli, something I'd never touch before.

    Good luck!

Hi there! I've been doing fruit & veggie smoothies for the last few months for breakfast and sometimes lunch. It's not as hard as you'd think. I have used Kale, Spinach, lettuce, beet greens and Swiss Chard. I usually by organic or regular depending on what I can find. I use all kinds of fruit. I use fresh and frozen. I throw everything into my Nutribullet blend and drink away.

So far one of my fravoite smoothies has kale, a whole banana, grapes, 5-10 Almonds and about 10 ounces of water.
The smoothies make me really full with all the fiber in there.
Give it a try and let me know what you think
