Just starting. Trying hard but seem to go over my calories or under by 50 - 100.
Looking at my snack calories, it looks like I get a needs to improve. I get 128 calories for snacks. Ideas are greatly appreciated.

Greek yogurt, carrots, apples, bananas, string cheese, cut up raw vegetables, air popped popcorn, nuts- careful weighed as nuts are pretty calorie dense.1

Over or under by 50-100 daily, but averaging out around goal over a few days, is pretty perfect, actually.
It's not vital to be exact every single day. Your body doesn't reset at midnight, even though MFP does.
You can get a weekly average view in the phone/tablet app, or look at the calories reports on the web version, to see how you're averaging.
If you told MFP you want to lose a pound a week (for example), your goal is 500 calories less than what MFP thinks it would take for you to hold steady at your current weight (maintenance calories). Any day you're under maintenance calories, you'd expect to lose weight, just a tiny bit slower or faster if you're a small amount over or under goal.
Other good snacks are hard boiled eggs, pickles, crispy chickpeas or other legumes, cottage cheese, frozen grapes.1 -
What @AnnPT77 said^^. My daily goal is 100 calories plus or minus of 1700. Anywhere from 1600 to 1800 calories per day equals a win in my book.1
