All my progress has been deleted...

I went to log my food and found that My Fitness Pal is charging to even scan barcodes now.
But what I’m really frustrated with, is that years of my recipes and progress seem to
be deleted!
Do I have to pay to retrieve my personal information, or did the app just delete 6 years of my hard work?
