Nutrition Degree

I am very interested in nutrition and have been thinking about/researching schools and options... Does anyone here have a degree in this field (Dietetics or Nutrition)? If so where did you attend? And does anyone know about any online accredited programs? I live in FL and there are no schools/programs near me. What are you doing with your degree?

Thanks!

I have my degree in Nutrition Science. I went to UC Davis and loved it-highly recommend their program!

Loma Linda University has an online program and they are very highly regarded. Their program is more expensive than other online schools but I think their name/reputation is worth the extra money. That said, it's a pretty difficult major- lot's of math and science... You can work at a hospital or school in a nutrition office, for a weight loss clinic, etc.

There is also a Certificate program that may help get you started without too much of a financial commitment. It's called the CDM - Certified Dietary Manager, and many commercial kitchens are requiring it.

ETA: I'm pretty sure there's an online program in Florida and also maybe North Dakota...?

I have looked in FL... I will check again, since obviously tuition would be a little cheaper. I haaaaaaaate science but I keep thinking it might be worth it to go into a field I would enjoy. Why are commercial kitchens requiring that certificate, like who has to have it?

No accredited distance learning programs in FL. I found schools in Alabama, Colorado, and Kansas.
