Hey, I'm Iz

Hey, I'm Iz. I've been lurking here for a long time and now I'm ready to go! I've struggled with my weight and with food and with my body for almost the entirety of my life. It ends now.

I've been prescribed Ozempic to help me with my cravings and blood sugar, and I get coaching with it too. I started this week and my appetite is really starting to even out already.
I'm teaching myself how to eat for my needs, so following a calorie budget, protein, carbohydrates and fat.
I'm hauling my bum to the gym too. I really want to get STRONG, resilient and capable through lifting weights, returning to my old love running and yoga. I'd be really grateful if anyone has a program they recommend.
Always welcome to add me. I've got 100+lbs to lose in the aftermath of an addiction that almost cost me my life. Buckle up!

Hey Iz! Congrats on deciding to take charge of your health! I recently discovered Yoga - I have Amazon Prime, so stumbled across a "30 Days of Yoga" beginner program which started super-basic and builds from there. YOu might not need something 'beginner-level', but if you have Prime there are a ton of videos. For running, I always start with C25K, then get bored and switch over to Zombies, Run! which is a fun way to get back into running (I"m a frequent re-starter due to chronic injury, unfortunately... but that is something I"m addressing now with a podiatrist I know and trust). You've totally got this! Welcome to MFP!
