How do I accept a friend request???

I have a new friend request from my wife so we can share our diaries and recipes. However, when I go to the request page and click on her request, there are no options available for excepting in the class. How do I accept her friend request?

    Are you in dark mode on the app? I find that in dark mode, I can’t see the check and the x so I have to wait until the screen is in day mode again (or go to the browser).
