How do you get Apple's full projection to display accurately?

I've started using an Apple Watch and synced it to MFP, but the numbers don't match up for the full day projection in the calorie adjustment.
For example, yesterday:
- On MFP, the calorie adjustment said Apple Watch Calories Burned was 2,188 as of 23:59.
- But if you look in Apple Fitness, it says my total calories for the day was 2,427.
That's quite a big difference, and it's really annoying! How do I get MFP to sync properly with Apple Fitness's data?
