This week started my favorite time of year collage football opened it season. With it comes the tailgate parties Friday and Saturday night games, beer, wings, and so many other temptations.

Well, heck yeah. Just remember calories can be a weekly thing and not a daily thing so save up your calories for game days and start finding substitutes for foods you love. If you are tailgating, take your own wings, pre-made with low cal hot sauce (respond here if you need a recipe)! Sliders can be made without butter and with really low fat ground beef. Make the patties before you go and get lo cal bread - and decide how many you'll have before you go. Shish kabobs with veggies you like and shrimp or chicken (with lo cal bar-b-que sauce) are fav's as are celery or carrots and low cal dip (Italian or ranch). Measure out the dressing before you go so you know exactly how much you are eating. And celery and carrots can also take the place of chips with low fat dip (again measure it out and don't eat from the container).
