Trying Again

Bad news again from doctors. Looks like they all want me to do bariatric surgery. I didn’t do it 3 yrs ago because I knew I my heart I would not be happy. Now they are pushing it again and I still have doubts. I want to lose weight and get healthier naturally. I’m 55 soon and I do believe I have the will power to do it right now. I’ve educated myself, and I’m using apps like “My Fitness Pal” to help me get healthier.

Best of luck, one way or the other (surgery or not). My thought would be if you had doctors who insisted on surgery, and you survived three years without it, I'm not sure I would believe them that it's necessary or urgent (not saying they're not right, but pushing a patient to get surgery they're uncomfortable with when it's not an acute issue isn't a trust-building strategy, IMO). It is possible to lose without surgery.0
